Greg's Pro Moving is a family shop, owned and run right here in San Antonio, with one crew and one written price standing in for the meter. The people you talk to are the people who show up on moving day.
- Written flat rate
- No hidden fees
- Licensed & insured
Built at home, run by the owner
Greg Salazar got Greg’s Pro Moving rolling with a single truck, a stack of pads, and one simple rule: put a real number on paper and honor it, hundred-degree afternoon or not. Born and raised in San Antonio, he had seen too many neighbors charged by the hour and ambushed by a bill nobody warned them about. So he did it backwards, a trained crew that arrives on our own trucks, wraps every piece, and ends on the very number you signed, not a peso more.
To this day there is no call center and no middleman taking a cut, just the same crew carrying out a King William bungalow one morning and a Stone Oak two-story that afternoon, with Greg on the dolly right beside them.
One truck, then the whole metro
This did not grow on billboards. It grew because the families we moved kept calling us back.
- One truck and a promiseGreg set out with a lone box truck and a single vow: a real price on paper, honored to the dollar.
- The city spread the wordFolks kept rebooking and sending their neighbors our way, and word of mouth booked the calendar faster than any ad ever could.
- Reaching the Hill CountryThe phone kept ringing from Boerne, Helotes, and New Braunfels, so we stretched our range past Loop 1604 into the hills.
- Adding climate storageA cool, climate-controlled room came next, so a gap between homes stayed easy even in the thick of a San Antonio August.
- Still run by GregFrom downtown out to Stone Oak and Seguin, Greg is still on the trucks and still answers the phone himself.
A written number against the hourly clock
Most outfits in town quote an hourly rate, then let the meter pile onto your total. Here is one move, priced the way we do it next to the way it usually goes.
| On move day | Greg’s Pro Moving | A typical hourly mover |
|---|---|---|
| What it costs | A single written figure, nailed down before the day | An hourly rate on a meter that keeps running |
| Who arrives | Our own vetted, trained San Antonio movers | Whoever got dispatched that morning |
| The August heat | Early slots and fast, shaded loading | More or less left to luck |
| Gates and Hill Country drives | Check-ins and long hauls priced right in | Usually a surprise fee at the curb |
| Pianos and safes | Folded into the number from the start | Extra charges sprung on move day |
| The last bill | The exact figure you signed your name to | Wherever the clock decides to land |
On every job, no exceptions
- A written figure you sign off on before a thing is lifted
- Our own crew on payroll, never brokers or day-labor
- Pads, floor runners, and shrink over the whole load
- A firm arrival window, and a call the second it moves
- Full Texas licensing and insurance on the job
- Pianos, safes, and specialty items carried by our own crew
- Building COIs filed and freight elevators booked in advance
- The signed figure at the end, not a running meter total
“Whatever number you sign for is the number you are charged. That has been the rule since truck one, and it is staying that way.”
Greg Salazar, ownerOur trucks. Our movers. Nobody sublet.
Your job is never auctioned to a broker, farmed out to day-labor, or dropped on somebody you have never met. The movers at your door draw a paycheck from Greg, and every truck out front is ours, lettered with our name, stocked, and kept up in our own San Antonio shop.
- On our payrollTrained, background-checked movers who load San Antonio homes every week of the year.
- One team the whole wayThe same movers load, drive, unload, and set down, so nothing falls through a hand-off.
- Careful comes standardFurniture under pads, runners across the floors, and door frames wrapped before anything is lifted.
Triple-digit heat, the Loops, and Hill Country drives, all planned for
A move here has its own quirks: a July afternoon well past a hundred degrees, Loop 410 and 1604 stacked up at rush hour, and everything from downtown historic homes to gated Stone Oak. We work around each one and still land your window.
Texas-heat ready
Summer jobs start early and load quick, so nothing sits roasting on the driveway while the crew works.
Loop-timed windows
We schedule around Loop 410, 1604, and I-35 so a traffic snarl never swallows your move day.
Historic to Hill Country
King William and Monte Vista historic homes to gated Stone Oak and Boerne, with access sorted ahead.
